Puppies and Purple

Those who know me, know I have two (nonsensual) obsessions....  my RL animals and the color purple.  I am not sure why, but I tend to talk about the former alot (2 dogs and a cat) and I wear the latter quite often.  Okay, I wear the former alot as well, as anyone with animals can attest to:).

I have an SL form of my white Persian cat, but have never been able to find a Jack Russell to match my younger dog... but I DID find this lovely little plush puppy in a Fall Gacha Festival:)  Isn't he cute?  I will never find my middle dog in SL (Brittany Spaniel/goldie mix), but I will figure out something;)

On to the clothing...  the dress is by *GFD* (Gala Fashion Designs) and is currently an exclusive item on sale at Lubbly Jubblies..  go get it now, before it's too late!  Quite a few lovely colour mixtures to choose from!  I added a little purple in to add a touch of "me" to the outfit;)

The bed in this (and the sofa in the first picture in fact) is by Xplicit Furnishings, which is one of my alltime favourite furniture stores in SL.  Almost all her furniture comes in both PG and Adult styles.

Autumn Tones

I think we all have come to the conclusion that I suck as a blogger...  it's not that I don't want to blog, because I love my look and I have SOOO many outfits I get that I absolutely love... but I am lazy.  And forgetful. And easily sidetracked by new ideas and hot men.

I mean.. ummm.. yeah, no, I did mean that.  LOL

SO, on Thursday, the newest Going Bust sidewalk sale at Cleavage sim started, and this beautiful stunning dress is on SALE right now ( for 100L, and worth it!).  I love finding a dress that looks good with my old-but-always-pretty Alchemy Immortalis medallion (I don't know if you all have figured this out, but I love that store!  hee)

I will admit one thing... I normally do NOT edit outfits in photos, I DID edit ONE section of the dress in the second picture (the one with the Disparity logo sign behind me).. the skirt prim.  I always have an issue  with skirt prims not fitting right, even after editing.  I have seen other people who were able to wear them flawlessly, so it might be because of how thick I run my leg numbers:)  So I wanted to 'fess up to it.  I hate when people edit clothing in pics in these kinds of blogs, but also honesty goes a long way;)

The last pic is one I made, called "It Takes Time to Build Castles".  I love that saying, it holds true throughout my life.

Zodiac Meme

I am really finding some of Strawberry Singh's memes fascinating, and it's giving me a little "push" to take pics that I want to do...  plus, I am getting in a little practice with some new photography ideas.

This post is in relation to Strawberry's Zodiac Meme Challenge.  I am going to actually do my RL zodiac sun sign, which is Capricorn, even though I have more affinity with my rising sign (the time I was born), which is Aries.  Yes, I am confusing you... trust me, try being me. LOL!

1. What is your birthday and/or Zodiac sign? – My birthday is 14 January, which makes me Capricorn.

Do you believe in or follow astrology? – Yes I do.  When I was born, my mother had a chart drawn up...  which actually almost perfectly matched the chart I had drawn up by another astrologist 2 years ago.  Both of them had some very unique marks in them that neither could have known about my choices in life (and those who truly know me, know I have led a VERY strange life;)).  That is the long answer to, "Yes, because I have proof.".
3. Do you feel your sign’s attributes reflect who you are? – As I said before, Capricorn is my sun sign (the day I was born), Aries is my rising sign (the time I was born).. I DO take after a few qualities of my Cap sign (patient, ambitious, demanding to do it all themselves because others will mess it up) but the rest of Cap doesn't "fit" me.  Aries are independent, generous, optimistic, enthusiastic, courageous, moody, short-tempered, self-involved, impulsive, impatient....  Those who know me can tell you, that is me... LOL
4. Have you ever been to a psychic or astrologer either in RL or in SL (are there any in SL?) Yes, in RL....  because of my upbringing, I do believe, but I also believe that about 85% of the ones you see are bullshit artists.  A truly gifted person does not charge for the gift given to them by the Gods, just as I don't believe a true man of God should make an extravagant living off ministering to his people.
5. Do you read your horoscope daily and try to follow any advice, recommendations or warnings it may have for you that day? Heck no...  I'd be searching for hours everyday for one that "felt" real....lol.  Besides, I believe I can change my own fate
6. Do you have very strong feelings about astrology, either negative or positive? I believe that astrology is part of my life, it was a love of my mother's that I do hold respect for.... but I also understand that most horoscopes are done for fun, and I have no problem with that:).  It's not my religion, my religion just tends to involve it sometimes:)  And yes, I giggle too when someone puts WAAAAYYYYY too much of their lives into it...  Just because it is written in the stars, doesn't mean that Fate is not a fickle mistress who will change it just for a giggle.

Date with Rodvik Linden

So, it's been a wee bit since I have done anything fantastical in here, so I have decided to use Strawberry Singh's Flat Rodvik Linden Meme for her Monday Challenge as my incentive to DO something for a change;)

I am also going to showcase a beautiful dress from Pink Sugah, that she is going to be selling for the Going Bust sale at Cleavage this week starting on Thursday:)

So I took Rodvik Linden (the current CEO of Linden Labs) on a date.  Well, okay a cutout of him, he'd probably be shocked to know he was going on a date with a smalltime pornstar such as myself;)  Of course, myself being the romantic music-obsessed woman that I am, I actually dressed up all pretty and took him to my favorite karaoke haunt, The ~O~ Lounge, which I have been visiting forever.  We are going to go back later, since not everyone got to meet him *grins*.

Afterwards, I took him home, thinking I could serenade him with more of my singing skills.  Considering that all I can play on the piano is "Jesus Loves Me" and switching the words with more appropriate verses, and Candles in the Water from Pete's Dragon, I have a feeling that my playa skills need work.  He wasn't very receptive; he just sat there......staring ahead blankly.

All in all, I think I can safely say that I will be staying single.  No sex, no professions of undying love, no wedding bells.  I guess those plans for having a free sim of my own to make an adult playground complete with adult karaoke is out for a little while longer.
