I Am The Fire

Hello, everyone!  It's been awhile, and I have decided to start attempting to blog again.  I will be going through my inventory each day and selecting items I have had for a bit, mixing and matching pieces that just....feel right for me.  Off and on, I will be throwing in brand new pieces as I can afford (Hey, I am a DJ, we are the starving musicians of SL now;))

The song probably doesn't match the outfit and surroundings much on this post, but it is currently my favorite song; one that has helped me overcome a lot of obstacles in RL and SL recently.  I still have some more things I am going through right now (health issues, recovering from having my heart broken, losing something vital to my SL existence recently, having my computer failing me a lot lately), but I know I am the fire.... and I will burn brighter every day......


Speaking of burning bright....  this hair style recently is fire personified.  I have always loved Truth Hair, but his recent release in the VIP Truth Group has added a little more happy-warmth to my hair folder.  With the upcoming change in seasons (hey, spring doesn't hit where I live til May), I need a good low ponytail style in SL to reflect the planting I will be doing soon:)

This bodysuit is one of the few I have worn over and over.  I love the detail on the front.  I did not hide the teeny glitch in the wrist area, although I will when I wear this for non-blogging photos; the wrist on Belleza peeks through, sadly..  but other than that, it fits beautifully.

The skirt is from the same company, and is perfect with the sweater, if a little breezy;)  Paired with these boots I have from Hilly Haalan, it adds a touch of class whilst showing off those stunning legs;)

The jewelry pieces all come together as a set, except the ring.... the ring I have had for years and just love to wear when I can, even though it doesn't QUITE fit around my finger right (the OCD in me twitches because my fingers are too thick to size it right, but the pearls just go along with this look so perfectly).

And as for the scenery...  folks, if you have not heard of Maya before, you NEED TO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!  50L for a WHOLE furnished house, people.  WITH landscaping.  And it is all mod/copy.  The house and front yard are from two different purchases (the yard is actually from the Cottage from the same maker), but I edited the fencing, set everything up different...made it mine.  After a hard day at work, nothing is more calming than sitting in the front yard, just listening to the fountain and breathing slow to "come home".

I'm On My Way

 Some of you know that I have many, many jobs in SL (I am what I call a "lazy workaholic"  lol).  Fresco Restaurant and Grill is my most recent career, working as a server for my lovely sister Celeste and her dad Keegan:)  Because they JUST opened this amazing new restaurant, I wanted to use it as a backdrop for my blog post today, AND to introduce you to the place!

They have an amazing menu service (the server will give you menus for each course, so you can really feel like you are in a restaurant) with SO many choices.  There really IS something for everyone:)  Just come in and there will be online indicators to ring for service if there isn't a server on the premises.  There is a lovely seating area, a kitchen for the servers to RP putting in your orders, tables for 2, 4, and groups both indoors and on the veranda in the back, some stunning seating on the deck out on the lake, and some special private seating under some balconies for that extra special date;)  Dance intans are here and there, for when you really want to bring that romance on;)  Just come on over and ring for service if noone is there at the moment:D

As for my outfit, most of it is (of course) from Tres Chic event, with a little added accesories from a quick search on Marketplace;)  I am almost at the end of my free time on the Tres Chic blogger group (Thank you to the owner for the awesome Facebook raffle!!), but I am learning stores I don't normally run into... which is one of my favorite things:)  The outfit from EvoLove comes separately (skirt and top), so you can mix and match, and this scarf from Zaara just added a nice touch for a classy work look.

These shoes from Illi are FANTASTIC, the strapwork is detailed and I adore the lacing up the front.  And these glasses from Revoul, they are divine:)  There is a HUD with the glasses to change the colors of the lenses to clear or sunglasses or several nice tints;)

Vacation Time!

So, I won a WHOLE month of free blogger group access from Tres Chic!!!!  Yesssahhh!  I have been planning for weeks to get this blog back to working, and I have several tasty little bits coming up, but I HAD to pay homage to this beautiful gift from the event coordinators!  You all work hard, and after months of me being sick in RL, coming back into SL and winning that on Facebook meant SO much more to me than you know:)  <3

 So, in this blog post will be LOADS of Boating goodness, for the theme of Tres Chic!  I am actually quite happy, as I have been meaning go to on a little "Vacation" on Second Life, and now I am dressed for it!  Stay tuned for some more stuff soon:D

As you might noticed if you have followed me in the past, I have changed my regular skin.  I switched back and forth between Izzies and League for years, but since I can't get appliers for Belleza, Catwa, or Omega at League, and I can't get Omega appliers at Izzies, I have changed my standard skin.  If any of my few readers know them, put a fire under their butts....lol  Belleza and Catwa and Omega-ready items have been around for over a year, time to catch up!:)

Although I DO have to say this Pink Fuel skin is divine!  SOOO many freckle options, I am so happy:D  The hair is recent as well, I have been craving more pigtails, and these braids are perfect:)

Opinions, in both worlds, are like assholes; everyone has one, but we all prefer if people keep their opinions to themselves.  In both worlds, I have had comments made about my appearance: Boobs are too big, hair is too red, freckles are ugly, body is too fat.  Yes, I get those comments in both worlds, because my SL avatar is just a taller, healthier version of my RL self (okay, my RL eyes are goldish-brown, not silver-grey... and my ears aren't slightly pointy IRL...lol).  

I like who I am, in both worlds.  It took me MANY years to get to that point, where I can look at myself and go, "You'll do".  Everyone should have at LEAST that place in life, where they can look in the mirror and NOT hear other people's opinions.  Noone else's opinion matters, except YOURS.  Not even the person who you spend life with; even they can be wrong.  

One of the things I love about this dress I have on, by Rachel Swallows Creations, is the simplicity to it but how it shows off the beauty of a curvy body.  I adore the side-boob shot so much;)

I have been meaning to buy this hair from Truth for awhile, and this dress called for it for some reason.  I know it's moths, not butterflies as I would wish for, but it works.  My ONLY complaint about them, is that there are not more color choices.... but the headband without the moths works well too:)

Wanna Bite, Little Wolf?

Surprise!  8 months of quiet, and I suddenly post!   And it is not really because of the huge bump in front of me that I have been quiet, but because I seriously cannot seem to remember to post shit.  LOL!  I have been meaning to... I take the pics... and then they never get blogged:)  SOOOO, my SL guy is poking at me to get this done (see, I am a GOOD girl...lol)

In case you couldn't tell by the title and the photographs, I am currently pregnant.  Contrary to the size of the tummy, it's 2 babies not just one;)  Apple May has this LOVELY mesh Baby Bump that has such a beautiful shape, but sadly only comes in 2 sizes: midterm and fullterm.  But it really gives a natural shape that I can forgive the fact that I don't look like I am going to have twins TOMORROW.  lol *faints*

I fell in love with this dress from ::Bows N Butterflies::, it comes with all the appliers (I believe she is now even adding Wowmeh appliers in with all her sets) for your boobs and butts, as well as jewelry!  It's got such a lovely classy look, while giving a naughty cut of long thigh up the sides.

The bolero jacket with hood is actually part of a Catwa hair I bought a while back.... I was wearing the dress while going through my Catwa folder, and had TOTALLY forgotten this was in there!  It goes so perfectly with this ensemble.

Of course, like any other good momma-to-be, I am rockin' the flat footwear;)  These sandals were quite the find, and actually made me glad I broke down and finally bought Slink bare feet, even though my GOS flat feet are still my go-to standards when slapping my toes on the wooden floors around the house;)

Puppies and Purple

Those who know me, know I have two (nonsensual) obsessions....  my RL animals and the color purple.  I am not sure why, but I tend to talk about the former alot (2 dogs and a cat) and I wear the latter quite often.  Okay, I wear the former alot as well, as anyone with animals can attest to:).

I have an SL form of my white Persian cat, but have never been able to find a Jack Russell to match my younger dog... but I DID find this lovely little plush puppy in a Fall Gacha Festival:)  Isn't he cute?  I will never find my middle dog in SL (Brittany Spaniel/goldie mix), but I will figure out something;)

On to the clothing...  the dress is by *GFD* (Gala Fashion Designs) and is currently an exclusive item on sale at Lubbly Jubblies..  go get it now, before it's too late!  Quite a few lovely colour mixtures to choose from!  I added a little purple in to add a touch of "me" to the outfit;)

The bed in this (and the sofa in the first picture in fact) is by Xplicit Furnishings, which is one of my alltime favourite furniture stores in SL.  Almost all her furniture comes in both PG and Adult styles.

Autumn Tones

I think we all have come to the conclusion that I suck as a blogger...  it's not that I don't want to blog, because I love my look and I have SOOO many outfits I get that I absolutely love... but I am lazy.  And forgetful. And easily sidetracked by new ideas and hot men.

I mean.. ummm.. yeah, no, I did mean that.  LOL

SO, on Thursday, the newest Going Bust sidewalk sale at Cleavage sim started, and this beautiful stunning dress is on SALE right now ( for 100L, and worth it!).  I love finding a dress that looks good with my old-but-always-pretty Alchemy Immortalis medallion (I don't know if you all have figured this out, but I love that store!  hee)

I will admit one thing... I normally do NOT edit outfits in photos, I DID edit ONE section of the dress in the second picture (the one with the Disparity logo sign behind me).. the skirt prim.  I always have an issue  with skirt prims not fitting right, even after editing.  I have seen other people who were able to wear them flawlessly, so it might be because of how thick I run my leg numbers:)  So I wanted to 'fess up to it.  I hate when people edit clothing in pics in these kinds of blogs, but also honesty goes a long way;)

The last pic is one I made, called "It Takes Time to Build Castles".  I love that saying, it holds true throughout my life.

Date with Rodvik Linden

So, it's been a wee bit since I have done anything fantastical in here, so I have decided to use Strawberry Singh's Flat Rodvik Linden Meme for her Monday Challenge as my incentive to DO something for a change;)

I am also going to showcase a beautiful dress from Pink Sugah, that she is going to be selling for the Going Bust sale at Cleavage this week starting on Thursday:)

So I took Rodvik Linden (the current CEO of Linden Labs) on a date.  Well, okay a cutout of him, he'd probably be shocked to know he was going on a date with a smalltime pornstar such as myself;)  Of course, myself being the romantic music-obsessed woman that I am, I actually dressed up all pretty and took him to my favorite karaoke haunt, The ~O~ Lounge, which I have been visiting forever.  We are going to go back later, since not everyone got to meet him *grins*.

Afterwards, I took him home, thinking I could serenade him with more of my singing skills.  Considering that all I can play on the piano is "Jesus Loves Me" and switching the words with more appropriate verses, and Candles in the Water from Pete's Dragon, I have a feeling that my playa skills need work.  He wasn't very receptive; he just sat there......staring ahead blankly.

All in all, I think I can safely say that I will be staying single.  No sex, no professions of undying love, no wedding bells.  I guess those plans for having a free sim of my own to make an adult playground complete with adult karaoke is out for a little while longer.
