I Am The Fire

Hello, everyone!  It's been awhile, and I have decided to start attempting to blog again.  I will be going through my inventory each day and selecting items I have had for a bit, mixing and matching pieces that just....feel right for me.  Off and on, I will be throwing in brand new pieces as I can afford (Hey, I am a DJ, we are the starving musicians of SL now;))

The song probably doesn't match the outfit and surroundings much on this post, but it is currently my favorite song; one that has helped me overcome a lot of obstacles in RL and SL recently.  I still have some more things I am going through right now (health issues, recovering from having my heart broken, losing something vital to my SL existence recently, having my computer failing me a lot lately), but I know I am the fire.... and I will burn brighter every day......


Speaking of burning bright....  this hair style recently is fire personified.  I have always loved Truth Hair, but his recent release in the VIP Truth Group has added a little more happy-warmth to my hair folder.  With the upcoming change in seasons (hey, spring doesn't hit where I live til May), I need a good low ponytail style in SL to reflect the planting I will be doing soon:)

This bodysuit is one of the few I have worn over and over.  I love the detail on the front.  I did not hide the teeny glitch in the wrist area, although I will when I wear this for non-blogging photos; the wrist on Belleza peeks through, sadly..  but other than that, it fits beautifully.

The skirt is from the same company, and is perfect with the sweater, if a little breezy;)  Paired with these boots I have from Hilly Haalan, it adds a touch of class whilst showing off those stunning legs;)

The jewelry pieces all come together as a set, except the ring.... the ring I have had for years and just love to wear when I can, even though it doesn't QUITE fit around my finger right (the OCD in me twitches because my fingers are too thick to size it right, but the pearls just go along with this look so perfectly).

And as for the scenery...  folks, if you have not heard of Maya before, you NEED TO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!  50L for a WHOLE furnished house, people.  WITH landscaping.  And it is all mod/copy.  The house and front yard are from two different purchases (the yard is actually from the Cottage from the same maker), but I edited the fencing, set everything up different...made it mine.  After a hard day at work, nothing is more calming than sitting in the front yard, just listening to the fountain and breathing slow to "come home".

I'm On My Way

 Some of you know that I have many, many jobs in SL (I am what I call a "lazy workaholic"  lol).  Fresco Restaurant and Grill is my most recent career, working as a server for my lovely sister Celeste and her dad Keegan:)  Because they JUST opened this amazing new restaurant, I wanted to use it as a backdrop for my blog post today, AND to introduce you to the place!

They have an amazing menu service (the server will give you menus for each course, so you can really feel like you are in a restaurant) with SO many choices.  There really IS something for everyone:)  Just come in and there will be online indicators to ring for service if there isn't a server on the premises.  There is a lovely seating area, a kitchen for the servers to RP putting in your orders, tables for 2, 4, and groups both indoors and on the veranda in the back, some stunning seating on the deck out on the lake, and some special private seating under some balconies for that extra special date;)  Dance intans are here and there, for when you really want to bring that romance on;)  Just come on over and ring for service if noone is there at the moment:D

As for my outfit, most of it is (of course) from Tres Chic event, with a little added accesories from a quick search on Marketplace;)  I am almost at the end of my free time on the Tres Chic blogger group (Thank you to the owner for the awesome Facebook raffle!!), but I am learning stores I don't normally run into... which is one of my favorite things:)  The outfit from EvoLove comes separately (skirt and top), so you can mix and match, and this scarf from Zaara just added a nice touch for a classy work look.

These shoes from Illi are FANTASTIC, the strapwork is detailed and I adore the lacing up the front.  And these glasses from Revoul, they are divine:)  There is a HUD with the glasses to change the colors of the lenses to clear or sunglasses or several nice tints;)

September is here!

I still cannot believe it is September already.  How in the hell did the year go so fast? I cannot believe it is FALL!  Thankfully I love the changing of colors and the beautiful jackets that always come out.  AND BOOTS.  OMG, boots.  *drools*

Take a gander at the gooorrgeous finds at Tres Chic this September (which started today, BTW!).  This off-the-shoulder leather jacket by Sabotage is absolutely lovely in the texture work:)  I like that sultry supple look it has, lending a nice warm cover to this revealing ensemble by Asteria Creations:)

And these boots, OMG, did I mention boots?  Those who know me, know how much I adore a good pair of boots.  LOOK at the stitchwork!  Seriously, some love and dedication went into the texture work on these!  And the meshwork is amazing!  The more I see from KC, the happier I am:D  Keep up that awesome work!

PetroFF offered this luscious watch/bracelet set that is very unique:)  I love seeing pieces like this that I normally wouldn't be too sure about, but this one really fits nicely with my look:)

EMO-tions  has been a name we have known awhile, and this hair is a really beautiful example of the work they do. I love the look so much (it is one I have actually done IRL with my hair, so I was really happy to see it!). I realized belately that I forgot to change the color of the headband to black to match the outfit as I had planned, but it still looks beautiful on me:)

All Of Me

 When I saw the camping set from one of my fave longtime family designers, I had to grab it and set it up:)  And camping is SO much more fun with more than one person, so I asked my beloved Hubby to come join me!  I chose this song, because 1) it's one of our favorite songs from our wedding, 2) him singing it to me actually makes me melt, seriously....  3) I HAD to find a acoustic guitar version for this blog.  You will see why soon:)

The little details in this set really make it feel real.  The selection of drinks displayed in the cooler (click the cooler to open it, click the milk and you get a choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages of a wide variety!), the fabric work in the quilts, the realism of the suitcases, the absolute love shown in the texture in the logs...  this by far is my favorite camping set that I have ever seen:)  There ARE PG and Adult sets, so if you go buy it at Tres Chic event, be sure to select the one you want!  The PG set has alcohol, just not boinkies!  lol

This matching set of clothes from L&B are pretty damn hot.  I do have ONE complaint about the girl version: the pants cut into my leg below the knee a bit and the alpha layer sections in Belleza land above or below the cuff; so it's a little leg showing, or a little bit of air between the leg and pants.  I don't show this in the pics, because my OCDness would have to spot-fix that, and I try not to touch these up more than fixing the levels and brightness.  I DO love it still though.  Maybe they will come out with a Belleza version sometime?  Hmmm?

Black Magick Woman

I adore this song in every version I find of it, and Fleetwood Mac is a longtime favorite band of mine, so I am sharing;)

Why am I playing this song with this?  Because, this outfit is just magic;)

When I saw these boots.... omg, these boots, people!  Method went out of their way, I swear, because THESE BOOTS.  And they work perfectly with this dress.  Now, I will warn you that this dress is slightly see-through, and if you are well-endowed like I am, you have to hide one section of underboob on the left breast for some reason.... but it was perfectly fine; the top isn't as translucent as the bottom.  If you are shy, wear a panty applier, trust me on this;)  But the dress is WELL worth a wee bit of effort;)

I broke out my old League jewelry, it's timeless and still works well on the mesh bodies:)  I have had these for years, and I just love how they look, even with my addiction to mesh.

I wanted to also show off Serendipity's Vintage Vanity a bit also.  This is a very cute dressing table, with options for how you want it to look on top (makeup, nail, or hair products strewn over the top..  or all cleaned up after you are done getting yourself ready).  Lots of options, and you don't have to clutter up your inventory with the add-on props; the menu places them in your hands for you:)  I had a bit of fun taking these pics;)  The first, I am powdering my nose, the second I am applying blush.

Vacation Time!

So, I won a WHOLE month of free blogger group access from Tres Chic!!!!  Yesssahhh!  I have been planning for weeks to get this blog back to working, and I have several tasty little bits coming up, but I HAD to pay homage to this beautiful gift from the event coordinators!  You all work hard, and after months of me being sick in RL, coming back into SL and winning that on Facebook meant SO much more to me than you know:)  <3

 So, in this blog post will be LOADS of Boating goodness, for the theme of Tres Chic!  I am actually quite happy, as I have been meaning go to on a little "Vacation" on Second Life, and now I am dressed for it!  Stay tuned for some more stuff soon:D

As you might noticed if you have followed me in the past, I have changed my regular skin.  I switched back and forth between Izzies and League for years, but since I can't get appliers for Belleza, Catwa, or Omega at League, and I can't get Omega appliers at Izzies, I have changed my standard skin.  If any of my few readers know them, put a fire under their butts....lol  Belleza and Catwa and Omega-ready items have been around for over a year, time to catch up!:)

Although I DO have to say this Pink Fuel skin is divine!  SOOO many freckle options, I am so happy:D  The hair is recent as well, I have been craving more pigtails, and these braids are perfect:)

We Found Love

Yeah, even a classy slut such as myself has my mooshy moments.  This whole month, I am on Cloud 9, because I am beyond happy;)  For those that don't know, I am once again knocked up...  yes, preggers a second time before the wedding...LOL!  So you might be seeing a few pregnancy outfits, such as the one below.

Bows n Butterflies is one of the few stores I know of that offer almost every-single-applier-alive.   LOL!  No, I am not shittin' you.  I can wear my WowMeh body, my CuteAzz, my Tango or Cherry Bombs or Baby Bump or anything else, and wear her clothing.  I think I now own half her store.  LOL!  This dress also works really well if you want to wear it without the skirt pieces, as a leotard/catsuit!

This hair is one of the new Catwa designs, that I wore for my wedding 2 weeks ago.  I love how full it looks, since my hair is normally very long and this is how it would look if I piled all my hair up:)

Happiness Is...

Wow, I didn't wait as long this time to post another blog, maybe I am reformed?  lololol...  yeah, I thought it was funny when I wrote it at least;)

Today's post is dedicated to happiness...  even through my health issues, these days I am happier than I have been in a while.  I got married on 21 June to the most awesome man in SL (I could be biased).  I have never had anyone in my SL who treated my like I am their world, who cared about both my SL and RL well-being in quite the same way. and I am so grateful for every day I get with him:)

The location here is our home sim, on the little deck beside our home venue, Vixen's.  I spend a lot of my time on the sim, but mostly because I just really love it here:)

This new dress from Trinite just really fit in for the beachy scene....  I could actually see myself wearing a bikini under it and using it as a cover-up during a visit to the shore.  The heels were a find through Babs and Doris' Facebook page "What a Girl Wants", now 150L on Marketplace,I believe.
