Masquerade

I logged the other night, completely forgetting that it was Hard Alley's Masquerade Ball night....  fortunately, I had a dress I knew I would want to wear for such an occasion, but no mask.  I ran through Marketplace, and found nothing that matched, went through a couple stores in a hurry.... still nothing.
Finally I went back to Marketplace and realized that one of the masks I DID kinda like was modifiable.  I decided to go ahead and get it, as it was relatively cheap, and see if I could make it work.
The color tinting I did on it worked pretty well, so I went with it.  I got a few compliments, so I figured I would toss it on here:)
The dress is a group gift from Purple Moon that I have worn several times, and it always gives just the right touch.  My only complaint about dresses such as this, is that you have to wear the system skirt.  I LOATHE system skirts, but at least on this dress, it doesn't make me look as pregnant as most do.

All I need is a whip...  hey, it would have worked for THIS party...lol

I know, I know, it's been awhile since I posted a set.... and I have a NUMBER of beautiful outfits coming out, because I have been asked (okay, I begged and pleaded..LOL) to blog for a couple of stores (BoobieLicious and J'Adore).

Then I got hit with the flu.  Twice.  I know, you aren't supposed to really get it twice in a row, but I am special, let me tell you.  And I know it is two different ones, only because this second one is kicking my ass and taking names. So I am behind on everything...... changing clothes, speaking to other human beings, taking pictures, sleeping, blogging, processing the applications for my Hunt for Your Inner Slut (the hunt I coordinate every 3 months or so).  Thankfully those who barely know me are being patient.....  those who know me are patting me upside their head and probably rolling their eyes, since normally I don't whine as much as I do when I have the flu.  LOL

Dating Myself

As some of you who know me already know, I am older than my avatar...lol.  My real rezday is June 24, 2006 (I celebrate both avatars' days, because both are special to me), and I am also almost 40 IRL.  Because of this, I tend to enjoy certain finer things in life...  like theatres, older music, gardens, complexly designed old builds in Second Life... and the place I am shooting at today, combines all of these into one happy little sim called Angel Manor.

It's really 2 sims, in which The Rose Theatre/Palace of the Arts is located...  with manicured gardens, pools, fountains, library, area you can buy stuff in...it's not the typical adult sim you find me in, but I like to escape to this place from time to time and just sit.

Right now, it's in its 4th rebuild, and it's quite stunning.  This is alot of love, and from a lowly little builder such as I, it fucking blows my mind.

But enough about builds and culture and stuff, let's get to the clothing, which I know is the real reason all three of you are going to read this for...LOL

I have been wearing this dress from Milk quite often.  It comes in really handy for covering up for going out in non-adult public, as well as attempting to gain the interest of a sexy guy who seems to be packing some of the other finer things I crave;)  I wasn't sure about the leggings at first, but they actually look good with this, I think.  Any kind of leggings will do, they tends to go in and out of fashion in the fall where I live, so I always keep several pair in my closet to toss on with a long sweater, which is what I wear this dress as when not being a perverted sex-craving woman.  Oh wait, that's all the time..LOL!

Just a little idea of the beauty of the outside.  Yeah, the Canadian in me is celebrating Autumn, can you tell?

Thursday night/Friday morning was a good time for me... I worked a bit on some projects (I am still catching up on everything I have promised at one time in the last year..LOL), took some photos for a friend who needs a new profile pic (I still need to finish editing them, Alisha...lol), had some quality time with a hot guy, did some laundry (said guy friend just laughed, I am sure), and made dinner for RL hot guy;)

The Friday night, I got a Skype keylogger virus...  Yes, folks, if you have Skype and you are getting funky messages from your friends saying something like "lol is this your new profile pic? http://goo.gl/QYV5H?img=yourskypename", then DON'T CLICK THAT SHIT! (don't click that link NOW either, dammit).  In my fogged-out tired little moment, I didn't think and I clicked the link from a close friend of mine.... and then like a complete fucking moron, I downloaded the attachment and even unzipped it.  Yeah, did you hear that loud facepalm?  

IF YOU DID THE SAME THING (it's okay, I am admitting this stupidity of mine, to save my friends' computers), you need to watch this YouTube video (yes, you can click THIS link...lol) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiAJKnkLRxo&feature=plcp ... it's a video from a Skype moderator dude who tells you how to fix your computer and make sure you aren't passing it on to all your friends.  Feel free to tell your friends about this virus, it's a new version of a Skype keylogger, and you SERRRIIOUSLY don't want that crap on your comp.

SOOOOO today will be dedicated to fixing my computer some more.  Yeah, I feel like a newb.  I have been online since 1988, before the internet was public... I should know better.

Nothing like a slutty office manager....

Okay, I have my moments where, like half of SL, I like to dress up in the "slutty secretary" look.The almost demure look, except for the ultra-lowcut top that almost spills out when she leans over to hand something to someone, and the micromini skirt that shows just the rounded bottoms of the ass as she walks through the building.

I think I found something that fits this requirement for today, when I was looking yesterday through Marketplace.  The dress below is not really a dress, but is 3 different coordinates: a top, a cinch, and a skirt, all of which I bought from Elymode.  I really would have liked to pair this with a pair of better quality boots, maybe mesh, but the ones I have don't fit my thighs well, and I cannot abide the stick-thinness alot of mesh boots demand.  SO, I got these for 39L... YES, 39L, you can change the color via a menu, 24 color choices.  

I also bought the desk and chair, and bookcase, and the tablet for this shoot... 10L each for the desk/chair set and the bookcase, 0L for the tablet.  I can nickel and dime my way into some elegance..lol

City Girl Lost in the Country

Ever have one of those days where you just feel.... lost?  You get onto SL, and end up taking pictures that basically reflect how you are feeling at the moment.  That's what today is.  I really wanted to find a well-detailed city, didn't want to do London or Paris sim, Hard Alley would be too typical for me....and then I just felt like getting away to some scenic park or something, even though I wasn't dressed exactly for the style of sim... because that is how I feel inside today...  kinda lost and out of place.
The last year has been kinda life-changing for me, and my personality has changed a bit in that year.  Losing my RL mother last September threw me off completely, and after the anniversary of that date (over 2 weeks ago) I am realizing that not only did I change, but also the way some of my old friends treat me has changed too.  Now that I am starting to "wake up", I feel almost homeless again...  hoping that someday that feeling will get better and I stop feeling like a 5th wheel around those who used to be close to me.
So, enough internal voicing....  all that above-crap led me to a sim called Marriage (yeah, I know, me going somewhere called Marriage.. LMAO!), which is quite picturesque.  Reminds me a bit of the Florida Everglades in this section, next to a store called Memoir (I haven't the cash to buy any of the accessories sold there, but they have some good stuff for sale there).
The dress I am wearing, from Luck Inc is one of my old favorites...  and when I went back there awhile ago to get some implant clothes, I discovered they are selling appliers for their prior releases in another section, so I got the appliers for this dress as well as some of my other old favorites.  My ONLY complaint, as you can see in the second picture, is that the dress clothing layer shows from under the applier... but it looks good from every other angle.  I didn't edit it out this time (like I do for Flickr pics), just so that I didn't lead you to think it was flawless:)
Tomorrow will be a better blog post and better pics.  I just am feeling a little off-color tonight and missing having friends.
